Poseidon is a Greek god and is god the sea, storms, horses and uses his trident to create earthquakes. According to Greek mythology when the brothers Zeus, Poseidon and Hera (and 9 other Olympians, like Athena) defeated Kronos, the world was divided in between Zeus, Poseidon and Hera. Zeus got the sky, Hera the underworld and Poseidon was made lord of the Sea. Mount Olympus and the Earth belonged to al three of them.
